Congratulations to Alyssa and Peter!! I’m so honored to have you choose me to photograph this amazing day and momentous occasion for you. It was a joy for me and Moriah to spend the day with you both and with your fantastic family and friends! You planned a wonderful day and the weather was perfect!
I love asking the bride and groom a few things….Here’s what I’ve learned and can confirm that these two are in love and going the distance!
When and how did you meet?
We went to the same school since Middle School and knew of each other because we were both in band, but we didn't talk much until Delisi wanted a group of us to form a brass quintet. That's when we started getting to know each other a bit more. Then, in the summer of 2017, rumors went around that Peter had a crush on me. A mutual friend planned a movie night at her house inviting some friends, including us. Afterwards, Peter walked me to my car to leave and asked me out that night on August 4th. We went on our first movie date the week after and the rest is history.
Can you please share your engagement story with me?
Told from Alyssa's point of view: Peter came over to my parent's house for New Year's Eve. We played games and hung out with my family until midnight. When the clock stuck midnight, I went in for my new year's kiss and he backed up. I was frustrated and said 'come on, I just want my new year's kiss.' That's when he got down on one knee and pulled out the ring. He proposed in front of my family and only my dad knew what was happening because Peter had asked his permission the night before. Even my sister was home from the military to see me get engaged. It was so special.
Alyssa: Name 3 things you like about your fiance:
He never fails to make me laugh; even when I'm frustrated with him. He always knows how to cheer me up when I'm sad or angry about something. And when it's something we are both sad about, he puts aside his frustrations to comfort me and we talk it out together. I'm able to do the same thing when he's upset about something, too. Both of us are always able to lift each other back up. Also, he's a great cuddle buddy during movies.
Peter: Name 3 things you like about your fiance:
Enjoys being around my family and friends. Goofy attitude. She is my emotional rock.
